VexIQ Robotics Summer Camps

The CCHSA and Riot Robotics VexIQ Robotics Summer Camp is open to rising 3rd through 9th* grade students.

On day one, we will begin learning the rules and challenges for the 2026-2027 VexIQ game. A VexIQ veteran will lead the students on how to build a robot to complete this year's challenges in SnapCad and then transfer their design into working robots. Students will then learn to program their robots using VexCodeIQ and/or C++.

Throughout the week, students will document their tests and changes as they progress. Learning the importance of keeping a digital engineering notebook and practice in a VexIQ Tournament interview.

Students will be broken into teams of two, for eight teams during the week of camp.

Important Information

Only 16 spots available per week.

All weeks will have the same class content

Students will be broken into Novice and Advanced. A student may attend one week as Novice and a second week as Advanced, provided they are able to absorb the content of the program.

Your slot is not locked in until payment has been received. (Invoices to pay will be emailed.)

Students will be broken into teams of two, for eight teams during the week of camp.

The cost is $200 per student for the week.
On Friday, parents and siblings will be broken into two groups, scheduled at 12:00pm or 1pm, and are invited to watch a exhibition of their student's robot.
*VexIQ competition teams are only open to rising 3rd-8th grade students. Area 9th grade students may participate for fun and learning opportunities only.
